Three levels of care, designed to fit real life.
From structured short visits to full residential care, Gentleoak's services are built to meet families at different points along the care continuum.
Back to HomeHow we approach home care
Listen First
Every engagement starts with understanding โ the individual's daily life, their preferences, their limitations, and what their family most needs from a care arrangement.
Plan Together
Care plans are written collaboratively. Families are not handed a standard document โ they contribute to it, review it, and can update it as circumstances change.
Review Regularly
At thirty days, ninety days, and every quarter after that, we sit down โ formally or informally โ to assess whether the current arrangement is still the right fit.
Gentle Mobility & Wellness Visits
Short, regular visits focused on keeping an elderly family member physically comfortable and gently active. A trained aide assists with stretching, light walking, posture support, and basic physical comfort measures. Each session also includes a brief wellness observation and notes any changes in mobility, appetite, or mood.
Sessions typically last one to two hours and can be scheduled multiple times per week. Ideal for older adults who are generally well but benefit from structured physical support and a caring presence that monitors their overall condition.
- Stretching, light walking, and posture care
- Mobility support and physical comfort measures
- Brief wellness observation and session notes
- Scheduled multiple times per week as needed
- One to two hours per visit
Caregiver Coordination Package
A service designed for families who need help organising and managing their elderly loved one's care. This includes sourcing and vetting experienced home aides, developing a weekly care schedule, coordinating with healthcare providers, and serving as a reliable point of contact for all care-related matters.
Regular check-ins and care reviews ensure that the support structure adapts to changing needs. Suited for families who may live at a distance or who want a knowledgeable intermediary to handle the logistics of home care with diligence.
- Aide sourcing, vetting, and placement
- Weekly care scheduling and management
- Healthcare provider coordination in Taipei
- Dedicated family point of contact
- Regular care reviews and plan adjustments
Extended Live-In Care
A residential care arrangement where a trained aide lives in the home with the elderly individual, providing continuous, around-the-clock support. This covers all daily living tasks โ personal hygiene, meals, medication, housekeeping, companionship, and nighttime monitoring.
The live-in caregiver builds a close, trusting relationship with the senior and becomes an integral part of the household routine. Families receive weekly summaries and are consulted on any adjustments. Designed for situations where full-time, deeply personalised home care is the preferred approach.
- Full daily living support โ hygiene, meals, housekeeping
- Continuous 24-hour residential presence
- Medication support and nighttime monitoring
- Regular companionship and emotional connection
- Weekly written summaries for the family
